Eat Well. Live Well


Some people choose not to eat well, while others might have never been educated on the topic. Eating a well-balanced diet could have great benefits to ones overall health. By eating the right foods you can get the correct amount of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to keep your mind and body strong and in good health.

When most people hear the word ‘diet’ they think that they are going to be restricted to simply salads and vegetables. Thats not the case. A well balanced diet provides a vast variety of wholesome foods. Proteins, carbs, and fats are all required and needed by our bodies. By choosing the right sources of these foods, we are given the energy we need throughout the day amongst many other benefits:

  • hearth health

  • weight loss

  • stronger immune system

  • risk of disease

  • better sleep patterns

  • increased brain power

Weight loss is usually a persons main priority when choosing to diet. But eating well and dieting are two totally different things. You can still enjoy your favorite foods, but just be smart about it. This is when portion control comes into play. You might not have the time or be in the mood to eat a well balanced meal and instead opt out for some of your favorite junk food. Being mindful of how much you eat of it is the key. There are many little techniques that people use to still stay on track but be mindful:

  • meal prep

  • weigh foods

  • cut your food into smaller pieces

  • fill up on fruits & veggies first

  • more water

  • downsize food packages

  • slow down while you eat

It could be hard to make healthy food choices sometimes, but in todays world we are given so many resources to help make this easier. We want to make smarter food choices to live a better life. Life is all about balance and food is just another thing that needs to be balanced. No food is off limits when you maintain a healthy diet. The first step is to make the choice to live a healthier life, than your eating habits will follow. Experiment with all different types of foods to see what suits you. Even the worlds greatest chefs know that ‘healthy food’ doesn't mean ‘flavorless’ food.
